Now Ninja Gaiden 2 does not break ground into some new way to design action games but it does do a great job at being a sequel, and by that last phrase it is meant that it meets all the requirements of the game before it and includes some new aspects to get old and new players into the title and series.

Let's start with the things that Ninja Gaiden 2 does correctly. With the return of popular weapons such as the Dragon Sword, Vigoorian Flails, Windmill Shuriken, and Lunar Staff the game rewards those how have played the first game by giving the a weapon that they are comfortable with and let's new player have a same glimpse into the previous title. The game does not stop there it has given players a handful of new weapons that offer some more than original and creative ways to fight against the hoards of enemies that you will encounter in this adventure. The battle system seemingly unflawed with minor problems in fighting sequences. For example the bases of your combos are a light, quick attack and a harder, slower. No matter which sequence of attacks that you throw at certain enemies they will be simply over thrown and disregarded by the bigger enemies. This not a major problem but can be quite aggregating at times after happening a couple of times in a row.

Another thing that this title does is that it rewards the player for learning combos and pulling off more difficult maneuvers like the izuna drop which will instantly kill an enemy. The button combinations are simple enough to remember but are complex enough so that a novice could not just pick the controller and master these techniques, give the gamer a great sense of accomplishment upon finishing one of these moves. Besides the action packed battle system the boss fights are fantastic. Team Ninja does a great job of making the boss fight monumental. Whether it is achieve by making the bosses enormously huge or by giving them lightning wielding hands they certainly establish that there is always a slim to zero chance that you will be walking out of these fights alive, which make player feel great after beating any boss. The best and newest edition to the game is the new obliteration system that has been added. This system enables the player finish off enemies after severing a limb from an enemy in a quite flavorful and theatrical sequence.

Let's Alright, now that we have pointed out what is good about the game, we must bring you the bad. Now this lovely hack and slash title does have a few speed bumps on it's highway to greatness. The first and probably most important is the story. While the story is not horrible it does hold this game back from being a triple "A" title not to be forgotten. Titles like these generally don't have nor need an immense story but the story in Ninja Gaiden 2 fails to attach the player to any of the characters in the game except Ryu. This plot makes sense but stretches from fighting human ninjas in present day Japan to fighting an ancient greater fiend on top of the Statue of Liberty and continues to drop our ninja friend in vast parts of the earth and some parts that may not be on earth, leaving the gamer to wonder how in the world did this ninja get to this destination.

In addition to the weird and uncompelling story the music is lack luster and faintly in the background of the vibrant action taking place on the screen and hardly makes the player feel enraged and ready to kick butt. The last thing about the game that is a bit frustrating is the fact that the game rarely rewards you outside of the X-Box live achievements (which pretty much don't do anything) the game doesn't offer any special weapons, items or combo for your extracurricular exploration except for the non profitable crystals skulls which do absolutely do nothing.

Overall

These few flaws are not enough to stop the addicting fun of hacking ninja limbs to pieces and obliterating beast and machines with the mere commands of your buttons. Any fan of game play should pick this title up. How do these satellites actually work? Twice a day they orbit the earth. As they are orbiting, they can locate where each GPS device is being used. The satellite is able to read the GPS's signal. That signal can be compared by the time the GPS receiver sends an additional return signal. This time difference is then read and compared between the distance of the GPS and the satellite. This gives a distance measurement. Then more distance measurements are read from the other satellites and the GPS is located.

History of GPS Technology

As the industrial revolution gained momentum in the early 20th century, there emerged a need for improving the navigations systems used in global trade. Utilizing radio technology, a series of navigation systems, such as LORAN, were based on low-frequency. Such waves which lacked the pinpoint accuracy needed to truly providing positioning guidance beyond the existing methods of triangulation. A series of scientists developed a theoretical framework for a satellite-based navigation system during the Second World War, which started to become a reality when the USSR launched Sputnik in October of 1957.

With the launch of the first satellite, scientists at MIT quickly determined they could track satellites by recording changes in the radio signal emitted from the vessel, which became known as the Doppler Effect. Based on this insight, the US Military began to develop satellite-based navigation technology that would evolve into the Global Positioning System, or GPS.

The first implementation of the technology, known as the Transit System, tracked nuclear submarines using five orbiting military satellites. Based on measurements of the Doppler shift, the system had a high level of accuracy but had a lag that prevented real-time tracking. In the 1960s, the US Navy developed the technology to allow satellites to keep precise time measures, which allowed for improvements in accuracy readings. Seeking a higher level of tracking precision, the Department of Defense developed the Navstar Global Positioning System (NAVSTAR-GPS), which became the first phase of GPS, in the 1970s. You'll never get tired of hearing that gut-wrenching squash you get when you obliterate a zombie into several pieces leaving his bloody carcase to pile on the other hundreds you killed before.

World of Warcraft - Easy Bank Management Primer

During your adventures in Azeroth, you will undoubtedly find a lot more stuff than you can immediately use. Some of that will go to the Auction House to raise funds for your mount.... eh ... charity, and the rest you will probably want to keep, because its shiny and new, looks remotely useful, or you are a pack rat like I am.

Blizzard allows only a limited number of in-game bank slots, which can be augmented through the use of bags. Bag slots in the bank can be purchased at a price of 10s for the first one, up to 25g for the 4th one and above. Obviously that is a lot of coin just to store stuff, so careful management is required.

In its infinite Wisdom, Blizzard also allows the use of other characters on the same server as "banks", meaning they have no other purpose than to store stuff for your main characters. I personally have 4 or 5, but you should be able to manage with a single bank character per character played, or even by 2 characters played. The one I currently use is an 18th-level babe-a-licious Blood Elf Mage named Zallesta, whom I played for a while then got bored of.

Bank characters are dual-purposed. They should serve not only as a repository of assorted stuff, but as a gold depot and auctioneer-in-chief. This means that you should send everything you are not currently using to your bank. If you are a leatherworker, keep only the basics to level up your skill. All rare ingredients (Pearls and whatnots) should be sent to the bank for storage, as well as the leather you are not currently using. I know that in leather's case, you can convert lesser leathers into greater ones (6 Thicks make a Rugged) but you'll find you'll be better of financially if you ship your lesser leathers to your bank to sell. In my case it works like that: I still use Thick and Rugged, so everything less goes to the bank (Heavy, Medium and Light). It takes AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT of light leather to make a single Thick or Rugged, so just sell them. Same thing goes for cloth after you level your First Aid.

A few patches ago, Blizzard made mail between characters on the same account instantaneous (more or less) so if you find that you need something your bank is holding, it is very quick and easy to transfer back and forth, and the cost is pretty much invisible (30c per stack). Added to that the ability to send up to 12 stacks per mail (as of patch 2.3.0 I think), the usefulness of Banks has greatly increased.

Use your bank (or banks) as your primary Auctioneers. They will be able to concentrate all the cloth (for example) that your main character sends in singles into neat 20-stacks and sell them like that. They will sell better, and your bank will be left holding the cash. This will make respecting Rule Number 1 ("Thou Shalt Not Spend Thy Cash Frivolously") much easier to respect, cutting down on impulsive purchases.

If your Bank is your primary Auctioneer, you will also be able to leave your Main Character in outlying areas for questing purposes, cutting down on flight time and increasing leveling speed.

Should you find that you are a super pack rat, you may want to create several banks - one for food, one for blacksmithing or leatherworking supplies, etc., but in general it should not be necessary.

Is the Trucking Industry Ready For 21st Century New Technology?

New technology is making many jobs easier. Is the trucking industry ready for new technology to revolutionize it, as well? Some drivers can't wait for the trucking industry to catch up with other industries by way of technology; but not everyone feels the same way.

Truck drivers around the country welcomed the PrePass System which helps truck drivers by-pass weight stations in 28 of the 50 United States. This system not only helps save time by the truck diver not having to wait in line, it also helps save fuel. According to PrePass, their system has saved well over $1 billion since it began in 1997.

Another new technology that could vastly improve the trucking industry is the development and soon-produced hybrid vehicles. Since diesel costs continue to rise, have an alternative source of fuel is something truck drivers are interested in. However, the newer technology won't be here soon enough to keep some drivers from parking their rigs.

There are currently some environmentally friendly diesel engines, but the cost is such that drivers aren't able to switch over to the new technology. Many drivers would like to purchase new rigs, but it's not cost effective. Until the price of the new engines and trucks drops or the hybrid trucks hit the market it seems the trucking industry is at an impasse.

Other forms of technology are also being implemented in trucks. New anti-lock brakes and collision avoidance technology have greatly affected safety. The biggest changes seen in the trucking industry are not seen directly in the rig itself. Information technology has allowed better communication with drivers and with the trucks themselves. Real-time tracking information is now available.

Truck rigs have undergone technological updates, as well. They are now more ergonomic, the seats as well as the layout of the console, making it much more comfortable for a driver to spend countless hours on the road. The addition of global positioning systems (GPS) has also made the truck driver's life easier.

Transportation is one industry that can't be exported overseas for others to do. It also can't be replaced by technology until someone invents a science fiction transporter system. Truck drivers are a vital part of the United States economy, and while there may be new technologies developed, it's not likely truck driving as a whole will change.

Technology is great, and it can improve our lives, but it won't solve all of our problems. Some of the recent technologies will be implemented in the future. New technologies can become more of a hindrance than a help. Is the trucking industry ready for new technology? For the most part, it seems the industry is ready, but the technology may not come soon enough.
