Nintendo Wii Games on Sale - Unlimited Games for Cheap, but Which Service to Choose?

So if you are reading this, by now you've realised that buying games from the store is basically for chumps. The new Wii games download services let us download as many games as we want for less than the price of a single game. But now that downloading our games legally and cheaply is becoming more and more popular, shiny new sites and services are popping up everywhere! How do you pick and choose which download services is right for you?

So theres a quite a few sites out there now that allow you to download Wii games. These sites can save you oodles of money by downloading games for cheap rather than going out and buying the physical game from the store.

Now that there is a couple of different services on the net for downloading Wii games, the question you need to ask is, how to I figure out which site to sign up with? Some sites are definitely better than others in terms of range of Wii games to download, technical support and price. You also need to be very careful, as some of the sites are scams, or are highly illegal and can land you in serious hot water.

The most important thing to consider is of course, do they have the games I want? Don't sign up with a service that offers only a few games and promises 'more titles coming soon'. Established services already have hundreds of games available, with the latest releases coming out on time and often before they are out in the shops. Don't save a few bucks by signing up to a service that doesn't have the range you want, the smaller sites often take ages to allow access to download the latest Wii games and often don't feature other necessities such as technical support.

Another thing to consider is: Does this service provide other media? The Wii is an incredibly versatile piece of equipment, and can play videos, movies, TV shows, music and photos in a wide range of formats. Make sure the service you sign up with offers more than just games, so you can get the most out of your Wii.

Technical support should also be considered. While most of the larger sites are very user friendly, when you are downloading Wii games from the internet, transferring files from a PC to your Wii, or burning Wii games to a disc, sometimes problems crop up. This makes getting good technical support very important. Sign up with a service that has not only 24 contact support via email, but also tutorials, step-by-step guides and FAQs.

Legality should also be considered. Is the site legal, or is it a fly-by-night operation that might not be around much longer once Nintendo's lawyers discover it? Don't lay your cash down on a dodgy site that won't be there the next time you want to get a game because the owners have been busted for copyright infringement. Look for a site that is legal, and has a TOS, FAQs and privacy statements available on their site.

Of all the sites I've checked out, the winner is still the original Wii games download site on the net, Wii Media Downloads. While some of the other services are getting better and better all the time (WiiGamesDownloader is one that seems to be much improved), Wii Media Downloads still has the edge with superior technical support and range of titles and media.

These Montgomery, Ala., cows seem unaware of a proposal Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008 by the Environmental Protection Agency to charge a fee for air-polluting cows and hogs. The proposal was one of several drafted after a 2007 Supreme Court ruling found that greenhouse gases the animals emit through flatulence or belching amounts to air pollution. It would require farms or ranches with more than 25 dairy cows, 50 beef cattle or 200 hogs to pay an annual fee of about $175 for each dairy cow, $87.50 per head of beef cattle and $20 for each hog. (AP Photo/Dave Martin)AP - For farmers, this stinks: Belching and gaseous cows and hogs could start costing them money if the federal government decides to charge fees for air-polluting animals.

Warning - You Have Been DataMined!

It affects hundreds of millions of us each day while we are blissfully unaware.

Today's high-tech world is drowning in data but is starved for knowledge. Data mining is the search for significant patterns and trends. It's also been called the poor stepchild to statistcial analysis.

To give you an example you go to your local supermarket to buy food and you use your store card for discounts and fast checkout. It give the store a record of how often you shop, what foods you like and at what prices in this case it's a win-win situation. This continues thoughout your day as you bank go to the mall, gas station, and so on.

However information is increasingly collected without your knowledge or consent. "Black Boxes" the size of cigarette packs have been installed in 40 million vehicles to monitor speed, seat belt use, and more. Only 5 states at the present time require that the buyer be made aware of this fact.

The trade-off is somone has a record of when and where you drive, what you eat, what over the counter medications you buy, whether you smoke or not, where you fly and with whom, what you like to read and watch and spend money on.

Any one item is not invasive but when birth certificates, credit histories, real estate deeds, military records, and insurance claims are pulled together it paints a very intimate picture. Add to the mix that the average person is seen by surveillence cameras 75X a day.

In the past decade an explosion of technology has taken place and the insatiable appetite of marketers for information about consumers has made data collection less voulutary and more worrisome.

Data mining is big business. Companies vacuum up data from public and private records, aggragate it analyze it and sell it to buyers ranging from private companies to the CIA. If an error exists there is no knowledge on your part thus it can't be fixed.

Data thefts are on the rise included are banks, credit card companies, and the biggest of the data brokers Choicepoint.
When their records were breach they left millions of people vunerable to identity theft.

In closing technology is here to stay and we love convience but we must be aware and remain vigilant. Also it's time for Congress to step up and do their job to create a basic bill of rights for all information. This will provide us with much needed protection.

Grand Theft Auto IV - What's it Like Then?

Grand Theft Auto IV has received near-universal acclaim from video game critics and is the first console game in the series to include online multiplayer, with 15 modes of play available. It takes place in a redesigned version of Liberty City consisting of four boroughs, based on four of the boroughs of New York City.

Grand Theft Auto IV sees a shift in the series to a more realistic and detailed style and tone, partly a result of the transition to consoles which offered high-definition graphics and the new and improved capabilities of such consoles. As stated, all takes place in a redesigned version of Liberty City consisting of four boroughs, based on four of the boroughs of New York City, however the rendition of Liberty City itself is far more detailed and is the largest individual city in the whole series to date.

The game is structured similarly to previous games in the series and features a soundtrack that can be heard through radio stations while the player is in a vehicle. For the first time in the series though, Grand Theft Auto IV features "morality choices" at several points throughout the game, in which the player is forced to choose between killing a character or sparing his life, or killing one of two characters. Minor crimes, such as assault, public discharge of a firearm and homicide, continue to be handled by police patrols just as before.

To date, Grand Theft Auto IV has the largest soundtrack for a video game with 214 songs while upon its release, it claimed two entertainment industry sales records, posting the best single-day and seven-day sales totals for a video game.

This is truly a superb game as sales of it will testify. If you're thinking of getting yourself one, you certainly will not be disappointed.

Resident Evil - A History of the Game

The feeling of making a zombie's head explode with a well aimed blast from a shot gun is worth a million bucks - and gamers know that no game in the market provides this experience quite as well as Resident Evil. Resident Evil also known as Biohazard in Japan has been developed by Capcom. The game essentially belongs to the survival horror video game genre, and was originally released for the Sony PlayStation in 1996 and was later launched for PC and the Sega Saturn console.

A remake of the game was launched in 2002 for the Nintendo Game Cube console. The featured several significant gameplay changes, had better voice acting and improved graphics. In early 2006, Resident Evil: Deadly Silence, a Nintendo DS port of the original game was released.

The original Resident Evil game opens up the in fictional Racoon City, where a number of mysterious and grizzly murders have taken place. A group of unknown assailants have been attacking people in their homes, and as proved by the investigation indulging in cannibalism as well...

S.T.A.R. first assigns the Bravo team to assist the local authorities, but they soon disappear without a trace. Then the Alpha team is sent to continue the investigation and they soon find themselves trapped in an abandoned mansion. It is at this point that the player takes control of the character and the game begins. As one his first of many horrific discoveries, the player finds one of Bravo team members Kenneth Sullivan, being eaten by a Zombie. The character eventually realizes the mansion far from being abandoned is actually a death trap riddled with traps, puzzles and of course ugly zombies. To complete the game the Player has to kill anything that moves.

Most of the Resident Evil secrets were good, but they were much too similar to each other to live up their prerelease hype. However, all this has changed with Resident Evil 4. The story too is more interesting than its predecessors. The president's daughter has been kidnapped by a religious cult and the player, playing as special agent Leon Kennedy has to rescue her from a mysterious hamlet located somewhere in Europe.

Resident Evil 4 has been designed so perfectly that even those who didn't flinch while watching Stephen Kings Kujo, will get serious case of willies while playing the game. Capcom this time around have paid perfectionist attention to the animation and graphics, and the background music is so creepy, that its controls the emotions of the players like puppet on string. So brace your heart while playing Resident Evil 4.

Resident Evil 4,is without a shadow of a doubt one of scariest games to have ever been created. Action never gets stale and A.I is so smart that any false move on your part might end up making you the Zombies next snack. If you haven't played this one already, then are missing a great treat.
