World of Warcraft - How Gold Sellers Impact Your Every Day Gaming Experience

If I told you that many of the World of Warcraft sites that you visit everyday were owned by a Gold Seller would you believe me?

Internet Gaming Entertainment also known as IGE is one of the largest virtual currency providers in the world. They provide World of Warcraft gold to anyone who has real world cash. How huge? At the time of this writing IGE ranked 45,078 on Alexia.

IGE was founded in 2001 by Alan Debonneville and Brock Pierce. The two met in Sony Online Entertainment's EverQuest and were part of the guild Twelve Prophets on the Vallon Zek server.

IGE uses its gaming community sites to reach the gaming public and their potential customers. These community sites are owned by a subsidiary company that was created to hide IGE's identity from the public called RPG Holdings, LLC.

The list of gaming communities that this company owns is rather amazing. They include MySuperSales, L2morphus.com, and more, but these are not the companies that impact World of Warcraft. The ones that directly impact World of Warcraft are Thottbot, Allakhazam, and Wowhead.

These sites are not only the most popular information sites for World of Warcraft gamers they are also some of the most popular on the internet. Alexia ranks Allakhazam at 780, Wowhead at 355, and Thottbot at 264. Those rankings are absolutely huge.

Many of us use these sites daily, even hourly. I am not faulting IGE for developing its market and purchasing any company that could further their goals, other companies do that daily. What worries me is the fact that the primary focus of IGE is and always has been based on how much money they can squeeze out of the gaming public.

There is an ongoing argument as to the validity of the accusation of violation of intellectual property rights as they pertain to the selling of virtual cash or items. Until some large company decides to take a few of the billions that they earn and turn it on companies like IGE, they will remain.

I hope that this article has opened you eyes and taught you that you deal with companies like IGE more than you realize.

LiveScience.com - A smelly rotten-egg gas in farts controls blood pressure in mice, a new study finds. The unpleasant aroma of the gas, called hydrogen sulfide (H2S), can be a little too familiar, as it is expelled by bacteria living in the human colon and eventually makes its way, well, out. The new research found that cells lining mice's blood vessels naturally make the gas and this action can help keep the rodents' blood pressure low by relaxing the blood vessels to prevent hypertension (high blood pressure). ...
